For those who are anticipating the release of Apple’s latest technological breakthrough, the iPhone, here is another news that would make you salivate for it even more: you can have YouTube content in it.
Yes, Apple announced a few days ago that iPhone users would be able to enjoy their favorite YouTube content, from comedic clips to lonelygirl17, from your highly anticipated mobile gadget. See, a newly designed application on the iPhone would wirelessly stream YouTube’s content to the iPhone thru Wi-Fi or EDGE networks. Afterwards, voila! you can watch those piano-playing cats on the go!
In anticipation for this breakthrough, YouTube has recently started encoding their videos in H.264 format. Incidentally, the iPhone is the first mobile device to use this advanced format. Expect this changes to occur come June 29. Soon, YouTube aims to have their entire video catalog to be encoded in the H.264 format and be available to the iPhone.
This would ensure higher video quality as well as longer battery life. Again, be ready for the release of the iPhone…
