Everybody wants everything to be thin nowadays. That is how it is shaping up lately in the mobile phone industry. After a few years of coming up with new launches and releases of slim and ultra-slim and thin and thinner phones, two companies are finding ways to settle the thin issue once and for all. This time though, they would not even be focusing on the handle at all.
How about finding out for yourself what is the thinnest cell phone screen is out there. Sharp and AU Optronics are both claiming to have had success in developing prototype displays that are less than a millimeter thick. In Sharp’s part, their LCD prototype diplay screen measures 2.2-inches across the diagonal and is just 0.68 millimeters thick.
On the other hand, AUO screen is a 1.9-inch model that is just 0.69 millimeters thick. So, brace yourself for thinner cell phone screens in a few years time.
