On June 29th, Steve Jobs and the rest of Apple released the highly anticipated mobile phone of the year, and probably of all time. Yes, after much hype and all the hoopla surrounding it, buyers were able to line up and check out arguably the snazziest product in the market this side of mobile phones: the iPod.
In a scene straight out of fanaticism over a certain movie franchise, eager buyers were lining up and/or camping out of the stores in anticipation of what they feel would be the biggest thing to hit the market. No, this is the real deal for gizmo geeks out there. The price tag be damned, the iPhone is quite simply a must-have.
For sure, not everyone who lined up would have been satisfied. Others may not even be there to own one. Soem of them would probably sell it online to the highest bidder. Still, there is no doubt that Apple has so far succeeded in terms of amping the sale of the iPhone through its relentless marketing.
However, the jury is still out and the public would pounce on every flaw, for sure.
