The Samsung Katalyst is a new venture by the manufacturer in the realm of Wi-Fi capable phones. Built in regard to the HotSpot@Home by T-Mobile. It is now the fourth such phone to be made. This is the Samsung Katalyst. Does it deliver?
Well, the Katalyst is able to make calls via Wi-Fi and can automatically switch between GSM cellular airwaves and preconfigured wireless networks. Moreover, the Katalyst has a 1.3-megapixel camera, a music player, Bluetooth, and quad-band support. Therefore, it is good for a mid-tier phone.
The phone call quality is decent enough. However, it does have flaws, specifically in the design. The keypad, in particular has received lots of complaints for being a bit too slippery and coming out flat. The built-in memory also leaves a lot of room for major improvements. Still, the Samsung Katalyst stands a huge chance in becoming a great phone for a lot of consumers out there.
