We have already tackled several crossoversin this site. LG has always been in the news, in particular its Prada phone. It was the first time the fashion house lent its name for mobile technology use. Who can forget way back when Motorola struck a deal with Dolce and Gabbana? Also, remember when Manic Mobile featured Levi’s plans of unveiling its collection of denim phones?
Add Samsung to this growing list of companies who take fashion phones literally. The mobile powerhouse is actually in talks with Girgio Armani to jointly produce electronic items, with hopes of an Armani phones a possibility, for sure. The famed Italian designer is said to be in the latter stages of the discussions and would design the items himself. Morevover, he is said to be also going to actively participate in the development of new products.
The closest thing Samsung has gotten to a similar deal was when it created phones for popular electronic items maker Bang and Olufsen. This could mark a new trend for the phone manufacturer as it tries to become a bigger factor in the mobile technology scene, particularly in the fashion line.
