The RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8130 is the CDMA version of the popular GSM phone. The look and design is the same as its predecessor. It is still compact but still manages to be sexy at the same time. The slim profile is still there with measurements of 4.2 inches long by 1.9 inches wide by 0.5 inch deep and weighing 3.4 ounces. The silver or black chassis is quite outstanding to look at. Sounds familiar? Well, it is the same as the original.
It has 2.25 inch screen that displays 65,536 colors and has a 260 x 240 pixel resolution. What sets it apart from the previous incarnation, though, is the set of new features the BlackBerry Pearl has to offer now. Among the many additions are GPS, 2-megapixel camera, EV-DO support, video recording and 3G support. Also, the Web browser is better than ever.
Soem have complained about the complicated SureType keyboard as well as the above average call quality. Still, the BlackBerry Pearl 8130 is undoubtedly an improved version of an already impressive smart phone.
