Nokia is heating up the lines and the Web with a new strategy which the company surely hopes will vault the company in the field of multimedia phones. In case you are wondering, the Finnish company is gearing up for their own wave of multimedia phones really soon. This is where their newest portal comes into the fray.

Ovi, the name of the portal, is their go-to site for online gaming, music, mapping and social networking services. First off, though is an updated version of Nokia’s mobile gaming platform, N-Gage Arena. Currently, it only fits with the phone of the same name. Soon, it could work with other Nokia units as well. Top game publishers have signified their intention to support the service as well. Moreover, the mobile phone titan has also signified that they would offer free trials of the games on Ovi.
