Nokia In Romania?

Do not be shocked when the next cell phone you own would be from Romania. After all, reports are indicating that Nokia, a Finnish company by the way, is planning to put some of its labor line there from Germany. Hence, a country which had some clouds of doubt hanging over their heads in regard to foreign investment, would now have a mobile phone manufacturer to gleam a ray of hope.

A tiny village in the country called Jucu is said to be hosting a new factory for Nokia mobile phones. This spells quite some doom for German workers. Cheap labor is music to many businesses’ ears and Nokia heard that music as well. Therefore, German workers are probably up in arms right about now with Nokia’s plans.

The $88 million investment in Romania could prove to be a boost for the country as well as teh company. As for Germany, their loss is clearly Romania’s gain. After all, Nokia is a big company that would very well leave a lot of Germans jobless once they move to someplace else.
