I came across this blog from egypt who is blogging about how he was able to use an old nokia for free calls. I copy and pasted the procedure and saved it.
Anyway, I don’t know if this works or not.

1) get your old nokia (have been tested with 3310, 3330, 1110, 8210, 5110)
2) put the SIM
3) start the mobile (without putting the cover back.. you’ll know why..)
4) call someone
5) AFTER HE ANSWERS (here it comes) raise the battary a bit.. so that you can remove the SIM.. take care not to remove the battary
6) remove the SIM
7) put the battary back
*you’ll find that your phone is asking for it back.. ignore the crap out of him *
8) continue talking !! you won’t be charged !!!!
