The Motorola V195s is a new installment to Motorola’s V195. Call it a redux or a whole new entity. Fact remains, it takes the Bluetooth technology to those who want their cellphones plain and simple.
That means, this phone may have a Bluetooth but it disregards any feature relating to camera phones. In short, it has no cameras. Some may frown at this but others who are frugal in terms of phone features and price tags will welcome this phone.
Here is a quick glance at the new Motorola V195s’ specs and features:
1) GSM Cellular technology
2) ICQ, Yahoo! Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger
3) LCD Display
4) Up to 480 minutes talk time
5) GPRS support
What I really love about this phone is its messaging features. Any phone that lets the user send out instant messages thru ICQ or YM is a useful phone immediately. Of course, we already discussed the bluetooth feature.
The design is a folder-type phone with a minimalist design. That, however, belies the fact that this flipphone is actually quite large for its genre. At 3.6 x 1.8 x 0.9 inches, it is quite large. Good thing it only weighs in at 3.6 ounces.
The only complaint thus far is the unreliability of its speakerphone feature. That is a nitpick but it still counts as a flaw. Overall, the V195s is a capable phone for consumers.
