Mobile Satisfaction

It takes a lot of effort to be able to satisfy people. In the mobile world, like everywhere else, there are equal amounts of rants and raves. Of course, some phones are just better than the others. Some are more popular. Most importantly, some leave a better impression amongst others.

The BlackBerry of Research In Motion was adjudged the leaders in handhelds in a recent ranking of business smartphone user satisfaction. On the other hand, handheld devices from Palm and Samsung had to settle for a tie for second place. Overall smartphone satisfaction was measured in six key areas: ease of operation; operating system (OS); physical design; audio quality; battery life; and utility features.

In the said report, the RIM’s specific strengths that were held high were the speed of its BlackBerry OS and the long-lasting battery life of its smartphones. Clearly, BlackBerry would get a mild boost in sales once envious people get wind of it. They would be raring to find out what teh fuss is all about.
