The file extension CSV is an acronym for comma separated values.  It is a popular file format used mostly for file exchanges.  A typical CSV file can be read by Windows Excel.  You just have to import it.
In the mobile phone world, there are utilities or applications which allows you to quickly  export contacts from WM6 into a comma separated file (file extension csv). This file can be used to easily import contacts to Mozilla Thunderbird 2 without modification or field matching. Provided as-is. Or used for any other .CSV reader !

One such application is TBexport which runs in Windows Mobile Smartphone.  It is actually a freeware and you can search it via google and download this application for free.
