There were indeed some phones that should never have existed. These mobile phones could have used some more tweaking instead of being shipped early. What could have gone wrong, we may never know. Still, mobile phones had a dubious year.

However, there is one phone that proved to be disappointing and bad at the same time. What really bugs us is that it came from a company that had a reputation for providing excellent designs and feature sets. This one managed to do just enough of the first aspect while completely missing the second.

Samsung SGH-A127 - from a company that is well-regarded as Samsung, this fiasco looked decent at first. The color was kind of attractive. However, the postives quite ended there. The call quality was atrocious. The controls left plenty to be desired. The speakerphone was a disaster.
