From the simple cell phone department: LG has produced the LG AX275. Coalescing with wireless network giant Alltel, this phone is a complete diversion from the recent releases of LG. Remember the Prada and enV phones. Nope, they are nowhere near this mobile phone. Or should I say this phone does not resemble those two fashion conscious ones?
Anyway, back to the AX275 which actually comes in two colors: silver and the always manly hot pink. It is compact and lithe, measuring at 3.58 x 1.81 x 0.78 inches. It hits the scales at 2.82 ounces. The display is 0.75 inches diagonally, quite small, even for a phone its size. Still, it is able to put in the basic info a cell phone is known to have. What the display lacks in size, the spaces in the navigation more than makes up for.
The AX275 has a 15MB shared memory capacity. Its camera has three resolutions: 640 x 480, 320 x 240 and 160 x 120. For a VGA phone, it has a good picture quality to it. Being a basic phone, it acquits itself quite well in sound quality. Calls came off naturally and only the speakerphone features presented a problem. With an 11 days standby time and a talk time of up to 3 hours, its battery is solid as well.
