Before we get on the surge in the sales of Apple’s product, I just noticed that the “i” has been conspicuous in most news articles and company names lately. Just a thought. Anyways, the juggernaut of the iPhone seems to be fully realized, if the study of a
research group is to be believed.
Apple Inc’s iPhone outsold all smartphones in the United States in July, its first full month on sale, research group iSuppli said. (See, iSuppli.) This means its chief competition was basically itself. If peopel did not like it all, those numbers would have plummetted right out. The two models of the iPhone line on the market sold more than the Blackberry units, the whole enchilada of the Palm and just about any other smartphone model from top-notch companies Motorola, Nokia and Samsung. It was noted however that the iPhone’s sales are comparable to LG’s Chocolate.
Also, it was noted that a quarter of those who bought an iPhone switched to operator AT&T, which has an exclusive service agreement for the iPhone in the United States. iSuppli gathered its data through a consumer survey of 2 million participants in the United States that it carries out online once a month.
