Apple may have had the publicity for quite sometime now but a touted “iPhone killer” might soon be in the thick of things. After all, it did relatively good business last year in an effort to make it a two-way battle. Thus, the iPhone is definitely not yet the clear-cut winner. At elast not that unanimous.
HTC said their mobile phone was able to get 2 million units sold. The Taiwanese smartphone maker has somewhat reached half of what the figures of the Apple iPhone had reached. The HTC Touch was launched in June of last year, which was basically just weeks ahead of the iPhone. The Touch uses Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 software and has a touch screen that takes up most of its face, similar to its rival, the iPhone.
Earlier, Apple announced that it was able to sell 4 million units of the Apple iPhone last year.
