iPhone For Car

“Will Hack iPhone and risk jail sentence for car”. That could have just been the ad for George Hotz. Recognize the name? You better do. After all, that name surfaced just a few days ago in this site and almost every news agency there is. The New Jersey-native just broke the iPhone code that allowed him to use it via another network aside from AT&T. Remember, the telecommunications giant has sole property of Apple’s much talked-about product.

Hotz just exchanged his unlocked iPhone for a car, as well as three new 8 GB iPhone units. After unsuccessfully trying the online auction route, he was contacted by a company that is in the business of refurbishing mobile phones. CertiCell LLC founder Terry Daidone would get the unlocked iPhone, which is now part of hacking lore, and would then give Hotz a new Nissan 350Z along with the three new iPhones.

Not bad for a person who just made as many admirers as enemies, huh?
