A traditional favorite gets to flip for everyone. Yes, the Walkman phone series, itself a reinvention of an old gadget, gets to sport a different look this time around. When we featured it before, count us as one of the excited many who wanted to know more details about this new entry from Sony Ericsson.

The W350a is a Walkman flip phone that comes in a range of different snazzy colors and would be available sometime this second quarter of 2008. Quite sleek looking too, as you could see. Its Walkman player can easily be accessed and operated even without opening its flip cover. With Walkman on Top, the key MP3 functions are outside the phone’s flip cover so one can use it just like standalone MP3 player.

There is also a TrackID users can record a few seconds of the song into the phone’s microphone and identify it. The phone shows the name of the song, the artist, and the album so that users can download it .
