What is File Extention VOB?
Many people have seen the file extension VOB but doesn’t really know exactly what it is.  Others don’t even  try to find out more about it.
A VOB file (Video Object) is a container format in DVD-Video media.   VOB is based on MPEG-2 program stream format, but with additional limitations and specifications in the private streams. It contains the actual Video, Audio, Subtitle, and Menu contents in stream form.

In a DVD player you often see this as chapters.  Since the VOB is a container, it allows multi media content such as different languages, audio, video clips, and similar content.
