Two networks joining forces to complement a phone is usually unheard of in these parts. Still, that is what Sprint and Nextel sought out to do. The Motorola Deluxe ic902 is a rarity as it supports both Sprint and Nextel networks. This is a follow-up to last year’s Motorola ic502 which coincidentally was the first sign that the two competitors have unified.

The design, while not stirking at all, is a rugged exterior piece with its gun-metal gray coating. With a dimension of 3.8 x 2 x 0.9 inches, it is rather a hefty phone. Add to that its weight of 4.8 ounces and it is sure to make you feel cringy in your pockets. Good thing its display screen could support 262,000 colors, lest we think it is now a common fodder to most Nextel phones.

While it features the Nextel walkie-talkie system, it also takes advantage of Sprint’s multimedia features. Among the high-end features are GPS, wireless Web browser, instant messaging and E-mail.
