The LG KF700 is touted as another rival of the uber-successful iPhone and one could easily see why so. The LG KF700 is another phone that incorporates touch screen.

This new multimedia phone promises to be quite intriguing. After all, it is the first phone with a three input method. What is that exactly? Well, it is simply having a 3 inch touch screen, Shortcut Dial and as well as alpha-numeric keypad. Functionality may not be such an issue with this phone after all.

The KF700 also features Bluetooth, MP3 player, 3G support, web browser, 3.0 megapixel camera and HSDPA support. The iPhone has a new competitor and it looks formidable as well.

The LG KF600 is one hell of a new phone as it is able to incorporate a lot of new features. However, a few would definitely stand-out from the rest of teh pack and for good reason.

The LG KF600 is a slide phone that does away with those navigation keys. Instead, it would rely on virtual keys with its offer of InteractPad. This is basically making navigation a whole lot easier as it shows exact keys to the user, instead of figuring out for himself endlessly his tasks at hand. This would also come in handy for all those multimedia features.

Moreover, the aptly-named InteractPad also boasts of multi-sensorial feedback that provides users with audio, visual and tactile cues. Other features of the LG KF600 include Bluetooth, 3.0-megapixel camera, and MP3 player.

With the LG CG180, this is a phone that goes back to basics. This is a basic handset that just might be what a lot of people have been talking about in their diatribes about technology going haywire.

This basic phone is basic even in form. Check out the throwback rectangular shape of this unit. At 3.91 x 1.77 x 0.58 inches and weighing in at a lithe 2.37 ounces. The plastic casing may be a turn-off to many but such is the dilemma of a basic phone. Its 1.51 inch display screen displays 65,000 colors and 128 x 128 pixels. Features include an alarm clock, a calendar, a voice recorder, a notepad and speakerphone.

The LG CG180 is easy to use and decent features accompany it. Simple is beautiful indeed with this basic phone that does what it ought to be doing. Surely, this basic phone is something that could be used by many others as a yardstick.

Of course, there were other phones that also attracted quite a following but this year would surely be remembered for the rise of one phone.

Apple iPhone - no doubt, the most talked-about phone of this year and probably of the past five years. From a top-of-the-line display to superb features, the iPhone delivered most of what was expected from the hype that surrounded it. Of course, some features were still wanted but it was still popular to people.

LG Voyager – VX10000 - this 3G phone was regarded by many as tops from its market. It is also a touchscreen phone which we might see more often in upcoming releases. The feature set boasted of several high-end services.

Nokia N95 -Â a camera phone that was more than just about taking pictures. This smart phone had cool features like 3G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. That being said, it is a tad too expensive.

This day, we here at Manic Mobile offer up another review of a mobile phone from LG. This time it is the LG VX-5400. This is a basic phone that has some features that make it an upgrade from the usual basic phone we have been accustomed to in the market these days.

Some efatures that instantly jump out into the picture are VGA camera, Bluetooth, and voice-command support. The slim shape and compact design, measurements of 3.54 x 1.87 x .89 inches and weighing in at 3.21 onces make it a lightweight phone. The internal screen is 1.77-inches and  supports 262,000 colors.

The VGA camera, though, has a photo quality that fails to have satisfactory results. Still, the LG VX5400 has a lot of things going for it that makes it a decent buy for some.

This phone’s predecessor was the LG Shine KE970. That phone was greeted with much fanfare but lacked some key components to back up the early buzz it had gotten. That was earlier this year. These days, the company has released the LG CU720 Shine and they have added some of the missing components to generate plenty of buzz once more.

This new edition is now a quad-band phone, unlike the previous one which was tri-band. Plus, it now has 3G support that will surely take it up a notch. It has a polished-metal exterior and a mirror-like finish that lives up to the phone’s Shine monicker. It has dimensions of 3.93 inches tall by 1.99 inches wide by 0.59 inch thick and has a stainless body.

Features, aside from 3G, include stereo Bluetooth, instant messaging, and has broadband capable services.

The LG Venus, or the VX8800, is along the same lines as previous products like the LG Voyager and Chocolate. Thus, the LG Venus succeeds in stunning those who lay their eyes on this sexy piece.

Some of its features include a 2-megapixel camera, a music player and has 3G support. The Venus has two screens. The first is a QVGA display that measures 2 inches and supports 262,000 colors. The second is a touchscreen that unveils the navigation controls for the unit. Checking in at 4 x 2 x 0.26 inches, it has quite a slender profile.

The VX8800 also has e-mail, PC syncing, USB mass storage, instant messaging, a wireless Web browser, stereo Bluetooth, a vibrate mode, a speakerphone, text and multimedia messaging, a calendar, an alarm clock, a world clock, a stopwatch, a notepad, a tip calculator, and a voice memo recorder.

For a flip phone, LG did a satisfactory job with it. It is functional and it is definitely as basic as they come. That, however, is also a fault that works against the LG Aloha. Compared to other phones, this easily is overmatched. Even in its own line-up, it would not fare pretty well. Imagine the horror if you are into high-end phones. If basic phone users have better choices elsewhere and even in the same neighborhood, how good could that be?

Which is definitely a sad thing to happen since, despite those comparisons, the LG Aloha is really a decent phone to begin with. It is user-friendly and even has voice dialing. Unfortunately, there are more glaring flaws than what consumers are used to see with most basic phones. The LG Aloha has a somewhat boring design. That is quite a knock since it is supposed to be lively, considering its name. A blunder in the design is also the lack of any outside features. That is quite a miscue, in our opinion.

Also, the call quality is not really something to crow about. It is quite disappointing in fact.

Â

Too bad, these same people are their competitors. Now, they also want a piece of the market. So, it goes as the iPhone, arguably the most talked-about phone in years, is now pitted against the so-called “iPhone Killers”. Add two companies who are taking it upon themselves to take the stronghold of the market.

Verizon Wireless has just released three new cell phones last week, just in time for the upcoming holiday season. Moreover, this lineup includes a high-end handset named Voyager, which was made by LG Electronics. It is the phone that is supposedly going to compete directly against the very much in-demand iPhone.

The Voyager is said to offer a faster wireless Web access. However, it has somewhat a similarity to its rival since it has a large touch screen and full Web browser. Verizon Wireless is also pinning its hopes the new phone will attract customers put off by the iPhone’s lack of a traditional keypad, as the Voyager hinges open to show a small computer keypad and a second screen.
